Hi there,

Welkom in smurfenlandToday was again a day of lime washing. But the finish line was within sight, only the lower wall of the roundhouse to go! (or at least this is what we thought…) After being finished with these walls around 11, they were a lot easier than the panels. I walked down the hill to tell Steve we were finished, he told us however that the worst was yet to come. We weren’t finished painting at all, as the full outside of the Bunkhouse needed a new coat too…. We started off with a bit of a heavy head (painting is fun for a few hours but gets EXTREMELY boring after several days) but were saved by the lime wash, or actually: the lack of it. Steve wasn’t able to supply us with any more lime wash so in the end we only had to do the front of the roundhouse which would be most visible to guest. (yay!) This meant we were still off quite early, around 13:00, and we had all afternoon to ourselves.

We decided to spend the afternoon completing at least one of our challenges, the cold bucket challenge. This was, well…. cold? Besides this we met a Dutch family that had just arrived at the campsite. This was quite a surprise as this place is, as said before, still an almost forgotten part of Scotland.

Pastaaaaa with PestoooTonight at Master Chef: pasta with pesto, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. This was probably our best dinner until now, not that difficult but with a great taste! I realize now that our cooking skills probably aren’t going to be any better in the coming days and I am very sorry to disappoint anyone who was looking to select us for the Scottish Master Chef…

See you tomorrow! (I guess…)

Elise
